Watershed Partners

For a list of our Partners, please click on the tabs above.

Upper Trinity Regional Water District sponsors and coordinates a regional Watershed Protection Program for its Members and for the benefit of all communities.  Watersheds will continue to be under pressure of regional growth and development.  Yet, our collective duty is to protect the watershed, to safeguard water quality, to maintain an adequate water supply and to enhance the quality of life “right where we live.”

Upper Trinity Conservation Trust, a local, non-profit land trust, was created in 2010 to lead a focused effort for watershed protection.  The Trust has a primary mission to acquire and manage conservation easements, especially along tributaries that sustain lakes, the sources of local water supply.  As a tax-exempt entity, the Trust is an ideal conservancy to receive donations of property and financial assets for watershed protection.

The Watershed Partners Program for Upper Trinity Conservation Trust is dedicated to increasing public awareness and to fostering partnerships that help protect critical watershed assets.  Participation in the Partners Program will enable the Trust to be effective in its mission to help protect watersheds.  Partners will be making a direct contribution to a safe and adequate supply of water for future generations - - while enhancing both the environment and the quality of life in communities and neighborhoods.

A shared vision motivates the Upper Trinity Regional Water District, the Conservation Trust, and the Partners Program to jointly pursue watershed protection with a sense of urgency.  Protection of existing resources and riparian assets will cost very little if we do it in advance - - in contrast with the enormous cost of restoring an impaired watershed later.
